Color: From Boring to Brilliant

In this lesson we will be covering how to use colors of your choice. What color palettes appeal most to you? If you have never considered what your color preferences are, this lesson will provide suggestions that will help you do so. Many of us have MANY color preferences for different moods and subjects - depending on what feeling we want to communicate in our paintings. It helps to find examples of images that use colors and color palettes that you love. From artist’s paintings to magazine clippings - start collecting samples that “speak” to you, and use that inspiration to work in colors of your choice.

Note: Reference images shown in this video or any other lesson videos are protected under my copyright. In otherwords, students may not use my reference images to create their own paintings. The only images that are permissable as reference for creating paintings are those included in the homework assignments.
